Horse Head Trail Fire
Horse Head Trail Fire
Type of Story: Environmental - Wild Fire
Contact: Danny
Areas on Grid: Acres of forest in the foothills of the San Juan Mountains north and east of town.
Summary: Lightning strike caused fire that has spread with shifting winds. The fire is large enough to warrant being registered on national lists. Along with a dozen or so other fires in Colorado, this one is close to Calaveras.

Danny would be glad to do some fire/responder play with anyone interested, but others are definitely welcome to this plot. Horse Head Trail is most likely a ridge line trail for horses that horse campers and primitive hiking campers alike enjoy using. Its beyond Silver Lake.
